When people see the rain outside their window they have a wide range of feelings. I have always loved to watch the rain, listen to it fall gentle on the roof, and tap against my windows. There's something renewing in the way the rain falls. It cleanses all and brings life to the earth. I wanted to do a rain shoot that was full of color. Chalk was my method of color and just like when I was younger I blanketed the ground with it. As the rain fell it began to wash away the chalk and the makeup. This beautiful rebirth reminded me of the way we often shed the skin of our younger selves as we begin our lives as adults. I hope to never lose a few of my childhood qualities like my curiosity, creativity, and love of magic.
