At the age of 3, I became a big sister. I was excited in the beginning but little did I know it would be one of my biggest challenges. As we grew up, we quickly became very different people. I'm a very detailed and organized person while my sister, on the other hand, is a bit more messy and carefree. This caused issues growing up and having to share a room. Our different personalities caused us to fight often. Years later, our family went through a period of struggles for 7 years. Through this, my sister and I grew closer. Yes, we still have our differences but through photography, we were able to work together.
This series looks at our differences in both our personalities and physically. I focused on the shoot in our personal spaces that were in both of our rooms. The final images were inspired by Gregory Crewdson and represented the struggle that we both faced.
