A Life of Adventure: Poland 2022!

I did it I graduated with my bachelor's degree in photography and got my TESOL certification! Now what? What do I want my next chapter to be?

These are just some of the many questions I had running through my mind since last spring.

I began looking for a job in one of my fields and came up empty. I found an old contact from my time working in Poland. I reached out and began this rollercoaster leading to my next adventure!

In 2016 I was contacted by a friend to join them on a missions trip to teach English at a summer camp in Poland. I had never considered going to Poland before then it was a country that had never made it onto my future travel list. After only ten days in Poland, I quickly fell in love with the culture, country, and people. For the next three summers, I taught in Poland over the summers for at least a month. During which I made many friends and connections and began to find my place in that world.

Then Covid began... and my plans were turned upside down.

I was stuck just like everyone else and finished my final year of college online. This brought on its own set of frustrations.

After graduation, I took the time to figure out what was next. I've always wanted to live a life of adventure. I could see myself traveling the world capturing beautiful stories. I've also always loved teaching. Either of these careers was interesting to me but I wasn't sure what it would look like. Until I took a leap of faith and sent out an email to a contact I had to teach in Poland.

And now in just about a month, I will be moving to Poland to teach English for a year! I'm very excited for this next chapter of my life to begin! It has been a dream of mine to live abroad and I have always felt at home when in Poland. I will be teaching at Genesis Preschool, helping out in the classrooms, and teaching English to students ages 2.5-6 years old. I'm excited to travel as much as I can while spending the year in Europe!
